Stress is a monster that can make you want to pull your hair out. Short lived or ongoing, it wears on your mind and body.
The Health Advocate, Inc. publication “Stress in the Workplace: Meeting the Challenge” cited a research study that found that in order to cope with stress, 40% of people smoked, 41% gambled, 35% shopped and 27% drank alcohol. Researchers have also found that we use food to deal with unpleasant feelings such as stress, anger, anxiety or worry.
